Loggers Sweep the Lynx 6-4 and 8-0
Lincoln College scored one run in the 4th inning on three hits.  The Loggers came back in the bottom of the 4th inning to take the lead back 2-1.  The Lynx answered with three runs in the 5th inning.  The Loggers were held scoreless in their bottom half, but rallied to score 4 runs in the bottom of the sixth for the win.  Addison Bryant started for the Loggers and went 4 innings and was relieved by Madison Routh (4-2) who picked up the win in relief.  Tess Beckham picked up the save as she finished the 7th inning by striking out 2 Lincoln hitters.
Brittany Roady and Tess Beckham combined to throw a 1 hit shutout in game two. Â The Loggers won game two by the 8 run rule, defeating the Lincoln 8-0. Â Roady (5-4) picked up the win as she completed 4 innings, striking out 4 and walking none. Â Tess Beckham pitched one inning of work as she faced just three hitters.
Kaley Maurer led the Loggers offensively as she went 4-for-4, including the walk off hit to score Nicole Robinson in the 5th inning.  Katie McLean had another big day at the plate as she went 5-for-9 on the day with a triple and 3 RBIs.
The 19th ranked NJCAA Division II Loggers are now 21-13 on the year.  LLCC is 16-2 in the MWAC.
Lincoln Land travels to Lewis & Clark on Saturday and to Spoon River on Sunday.
