Lincoln Land come up short in both games of a double header against Santa Fe State College of Florida, losing 3-2 and 10-9.

The Loggers only runs came on homeruns by Katie Mclean and Katelyn Presley.  McLean led the game off today with a solo blast and Presley hit her home run as she led off the 7th inning.   Four of the 5 runs scored came from solo homeruns.  The Saints Natalia Ballenger and Emily Yakel hit home runs in the 2nd and 6 innings respectively.  Santa Fe scored one in the 7th to win 3-2.

Brittany Roady was the losing pitcher.  Roady went 6.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits, 2 walks and 3 strikeouts.  Tess Beckham faced 2 batters in relief.

Game two saw the Loggers' bats come alive as they produced 15 hits and 9 runs.  Ashton Dyche had 4 hits and 2 RBIs. Katie McLean went 3-for-4 and 1 RBI.  Kari Sarhage was the losing pitcher in relief of starting pitcher Madison Routh.  Routh went 4.2 innings and allowed 8 runs with 3 Ks. 

The Loggers left 12 runners on base and the bases loaded twice.

Lincoln Land ends their Florida trip at Pasco-Hernando Community College tomorrow.
