The Loggers followed the match against Central with their fourth ranked opponent of the young season, #18 MCC-Longview.  In the final contest of the tournament, LLCC swept the Lakers 26-24, 25-12, 25-23.  "We built a big lead in Game One," Coach Dietz said, "And then we let it slip away.  They tied us at 23, so we were fortunate to win the game after another long defensive lapse."  After the first set, LLCC came out fast, building a lead of 9-4 and growing it to 17-6 behind the hitting of Brea Cunningham, Addie Patton, and Bailey Rexroad.  The third set again saw the Loggers build a big lead and squander it before coming from behind to win 25-23.  "We don't yet realize, not deep down, just what a challenge it is to be ranked near the top.  Everyone's gunning for you, so there are no easy games.  If you relax,, it comes back to haunt you.  Hopefully as the season goes on, we'll realize that and keep it in mind match after match."

The Loggers are now 3-1 on the season and will next play this Friday at home as part of the Lincoln Land Logger Invitational
