The weather was cold and windy, but the Logger bats were very hot today as they defeated Lewis & Clark 18-2 and 20-1 in two run ruled shortened games.

Katelyn Presley 2 HRs, 8 RBIs
Jordan Kraft was the winning pitcher in game one as she went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits with 7 Ks. The Loggers out hit Lewis & Clark 17 to 7, but the real story was the power displayed with 4 home runs for the Loggers. Katie McLean started the slugfest with a grand slam in the 2nd inning followed by Katelyn Presley hitting her grand slam in the 3rd. Presley was not to be out done so she hit her 2nd home run of the day with liner over the left field fence in the 4th. Presley went 4-for-4 with 6 RBIs, 2 HRs and a double. McLean was 2-for-3 with 4 RBIs and a home run. Maggie Comerford went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and a home run.
The Loggers out hit the Trailblazers 21-3 in game two. Bri Graham (W), Madison Routh and Brittany Roady combined to hold Lewis & Clark one run on 3 hits. Morgan Heckman was 3-for-3 with 6 RBIs including home runs and a double. Ashton Dyche was 4-for-4 with two doubles. Katie McLean was 3-for-3 with 3 RBIs. Katelyn Presley and Maggie Comerford collected 2 hits and 2 RBIs each. Whitney David was 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs. Gracie Schweighart went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Madison Routh added double and 2 RBIs. Kelsie Allen hit her first collegiate home run and provided 3 RBIs.
"It was windy, wet and cold, but we needed to play today before the seeds are determined for Region XXIV by the end of the day tomorrow," stated Coach John Marsaglia. "We will play tomorrow at Lewis & Clark to complete our four game set."
