Division I Jefferson College (36-12) defeated the Loggers 5-2 and 3-2 in a double header at home today. The Loggers were out hit 12-8 and LLCC left 9 runners on base. Katie McLean led the Logger offense as she went 3-for-4, with a double and scoring the only 2 runs for Lincoln Land.  Katelyn Presley was 2-for-4 as well.   Jordan Kraft was the losing pitcher for the Loggers.  Kraft (7-5) went 6 innings allowing 5 runs (all earned) on 12 hits.  Brittany Roady pitched the 7th inning and allowed no runs in relief.

The Loggers left 6 runners on base, losing a close one 3-2.  Bri Graham (7-4) was the losing pitcher as she allowed 3 runs on 9 hits.  Graham walked 1 and 4 strikeouts.  Ashton Dyche led the offense, going 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs.

"We were in both games, but we just didn't have the big innings offensively like we have had recently," stated Coach Marsaglia. "We made some mistakes, but I thought we matched up well with them."

Weather permitting, the Loggers will host Parkland on Saturday and then they will travel to Champaign, Illinois on Sunday.  Parkland is 15-5 in the MWAC and the Loggers are 14-6.
