The Loggers take the four game set today beating John Wood 10-8 and 10-7.
Whitney David Grand Slam
The Loggers were out hit 12-10 in game one, yet they managed to pull out the win on key hits by Kelsie Allen (2-for-4), Ashton Dyche (2-for-4, double) and a grand slam home run by Whitney David. David also picked up the win in relief of starting pitcher Brittany Roady. Roady went 4.67 innings, allowing 7 runs on 10 hits and 3 strikeouts. David allowed 1 run on 2 hits and 3 strikeouts. "I knew it would be a battle today. John Wood is always tough to beat at home," stated LLCC coach John Marsaglia. "We had a big first inning scoring 6 runs, but John Wood battled back to make it a good game."
Game two, the Loggers took a quick lead as Katie McLean led off with a triple, followed by Kelsie Allen walk and a three run blast by Morgan

Heckman (12 HR) way up on the hill in left center. Katie McLean was 4-for-5 with a triple, double and 4 runs scored. Heckman went 2-for-5 with 3 RBIs along Katelyn Presley and Lexy Koester adding two hits each. Koester had two doubles and an RBI. Madison Routh picked up her 7th win of the season as she went 5 innings, allowing 5 runs (3 earned) 10 hits and 4 Ks. Sophomore Bri Graham relieved Routh in the 6th inning and held on to keep the Logger win in tact. Graham threw 2 innings allowed 2 runs and struck out 2.
LLCC is now 25-15 on the year. The Loggers are off until next Wednesday as they take on DI Jefferson College
