The Loggers swept the Falcons of East Central 7-4 and 6-3 today in Union, Missouri.  Sophomore pitcher for LLCC, Jordan Kraft took the mound and picked up her 6th win of the season (6-4 W/L).  Kraft went all 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits and striking out 7 batters. The Falcons took the lead 4-3 in the bottom of the 6th inning on back-to-back home runs.  The Loggers answered in the top of the 7th, scoring 4 runs on 3 Falcon errors, 3 hits and a timely 2 run homer by Katie McLean.  Morgan Heckman led the Logger offense as she went 3-for-3 with 3 RBIs.  Kelsie Allen and Katie McLean had multiple hits with 2 each.

Bri Graham picked up her 6th win in game two.  Graham pitched all 7 innings allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 8 hits while striking out 8 hitters.  The Loggers once again had to fight back to win in the top of the 7th inning. One out, Morgan Heckman hit a towering solo home run to left field to take the lead 4-3.  The Loggers collected 3 straight hits, including a two out double by Maggie Comerford. "We have done a great job of fighting back in ball games this year, and today we collected two important wins doing just that," said coach John Marsaglia.  Morgan Heckman once again led the offense as she went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs.  Whitney David also chipped in 2 hits with 1 RBI.

The Loggers return home to face MacMurray College tomorrow (3/5 pm) and John Wood on Friday starting at 2 pm.

LLCC has improved to 19-15 overall and 10-6 in the MWAC.
