Lincoln Land won game one easily behind sophomore pitcher Bri Graham.  Graham (4-2) allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, walking 1 her 6 innings of work. Ashlyn Carroll was the losing pitcher for Lincoln College. Maggie Comerford, Kelsie Allen, Ashton Dyche, Katie McLean led the Loggers in the first game offensively with each going 2-for-4.  The Loggers leading 5-2 in the bottom of the 6th inning scored 5 runs for the walk off win.  With 1 out, Katie McLean tripled to left center, followed by a Kelsie Allen hit.  Morgan Heckman doubled to the wall in left followed by a Ashton Dyche base hit off the pitcher.  Comerford was hit by a pitch, so was Katelyn Presley and Gracie Schweighart.  Whitney David drew a bases loaded walk to end the game.

The Loggers fell behind in the 5th on a 6 run, 5 hit inning off of freshmen pitcher Brittany Roady.  Roady allowed 7 runs on 7 hits with 8 strikeouts.  "Brittany threw well enough to win, but we can't make that many mistakes and expect to win," said Coach John Marsaglia.  "We made base running mistakes, fielding and throwing mistakes.  Those are outs that we needed to support Brittany."  Jordan Kraft relieved Roady in the last two innings to stop the bleed.  The Loggers had only 6 hits off of Lincoln's winning pitcher Alex Devaney.  Katelyn Presley was the only Logger with multiple hits, including a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 6th.  "I was very pleased with Bri's efforts in game one.  She settled into her game after the 2nd inning and got outs.  We just can't give away that many runs in this league."

The Loggers are now 10-14 on the year and 5-5 in the MWAC.  They will travel to Lincoln College tomorrow for a double header starting at 1 pm.
