LLCC upsets Parkland 15-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 15-12
LLCC ended its 2017 campaign with a thrilling five-set victory over Parkland College. A see-saw affair, the teams alternated victories in the first four sets before LLCC was able to grab a big lead in the fifth before holding on to win 15-12. The Loggers victory came from a great team defensive effort and the hitting of Bailey Rexroad and Brea Cunningham.
"It was great," Coach Dietz said, "But I made a tactical error initially. We kept trying to play like we were in our gym and not a civic center. We adjusted some things before the second set and you could tell when we got a 6-1 lead there that the girls understood what we were trying to do."
Kiersten Anderson finished with her final career triple-double.
