Godfrey, IL -
LLCC ground out a long match in Godfrey against a Lewis & Clark team which came at the third-ranked Loggers with everything they had, taking the Loggers to a fifth game and holding five match points before bowing out 22-20 in an LLCC victory.Â

Sophomore Sydney Jarrard
Talesha Scott led the way for Lincoln Land with her second 20+ kill performance of the year while Kendall Knop set a personal best at LLCC with 29 digs. The turning point in Game Five came with clutch serving by Sydney Jarrard, the Loggers down 11-14, and picking up an ace and two other points to tie the contest. "Really, I think what you say after that is that Lewis & Clark was amazing. Their setter made good choices all night, the libero was on, and their hitters just beat the crap out of our block and defense; it was absolutely frustrating to coach against because they played a great, great match. I'm glad we kept our intensity up in game five. We were down 5-10, but didn't give up and somehow—I don't know how—figured out a way to score points for the win."
