LLCC Softball lost game one of a double-header against South Florida CC, 4-0.   The Loggers' bats were silenced in game two, losing 7-1.

LLCC could only produce 5 hits in game one. Cindy Garces was the only multiple hitter in the game as she went 2-for-3.   Sophomore Morgan Mansur picked the loss in the opener.  Mansur (0-1) went 5 innings allowing 3 runs on 9 hits.  Freshman Brianna Graham relieved Mansur and gave up 1 run.  All four runs allowed were earned.

The Loggers scored their only run of the day in the 4th inning on triple to right field by freshman Jessica Hunt.  Hunt drove in Cindy Garces as she reached safely on an error by the SFC shortstop.  Freshman Jordan Kraft was the losing pitcher.  Kraft (0-1) completed 5 innings and allowed 6 runs on 6 hits.  Relief pitcher Brianna Graham finished the 6 inning allowing 1 run on 3 hits.

"It's tough to open up your season with a Division I team who has played 24 plus runs," stated coach John Marsaglia.  "I'm confident that we will perform better at the plate as we see more pitches in our 12 game Florida trip."

The Loggers will take on Division I Lake Sumter CC tomorrow at 12 noon in a double-header in Lessburg, Florida.
