LLCC went 2-1 at the MWAC Tournament Saturday, beating Lincoln College 3-0 before engaging in a two-hour donnybrook comeback with Lewis & Clark that went 5 sets: 22-25, 27-29, 25-21, 25-21, 16-14, a rare comeback from being down 0-2, led by the hitting of Addie Patton and Talesha Scott. "I was frustrated we got down 0-2," Coach Dietz reflected after the full tournament was over. "We weren't quite on the same page with stuff and that hurt our performance, and once again Lewis & Clark came out and took it to us; I know afterwards they weren't excited that it was close. This time they were upset they lost. I certainly hope they are on the other side of the bracket this year from us."

The match may have had other effects as it was played before the Loggers' contest with #1 Parkland who had just beaten the Lincoln Lynx 3-0. "It certainly wasn't something in our favor. There are only so many swings in an arm, jumps in legs in any given day and we had a ton of unforced errors against Parkland, just like our earlier match this year. Eliminate the run of errors and it is neck and neck--but that's what separates a top ten team from being defending national champion."
