Lincoln Land was unable to break out of their losing ways dropping their third out of their last four games, 76-62 to Rend Lake.

The Loggers and Warriors went back and forth for much of the first half. Both teams held leads of five at points in that first period including Rend Lake going in to break up 33-28. Lincoln Land came out and scored five quick points to tie the game, but never were closer than two the rest of the way. Lincoln Land stayed close only trailing by a handful of buckets until 8:00 remaining in the game when the Loggers fell behind by ten. Lincoln Land cut the lead back to five with only a few minutes remaining, but went cold from the field at that point making only two more field goals the rest of the way. Rend Lake scored 14 of the next 17 points to quickly put the game away by getting up as much as 16 in the closing moments of the game. Lincoln Land was only able to get stops on 8 possession of the second half.

The stat of the game was rebounding. Rend Lake out rebounded Lincoln Land 53-33, 24 of which were offensive which led to 29 second chance points. At one point late in the game the Warriors got offensive rebounds and scores on six straight possessions. Lincoln Land was only able to pull down 19 defensive rebounds.

"We played a lot better tonight during stretches and clearly our defensive rebounding is what let us down tonight," commented Coach Chad Jones. "We would play solid defense, they'd miss the shot, but get a second chance. It's hard to beat a team when you allow so many second chance opportunities. Good news is, that is something we can fix. We just have to play tougher."
