Lincoln Land hosted Parkland today and won the double-header by a hair as they defeated the Cobras 9-8 and 2-1. Both teams were knotted up 7-7 in the 7th and with two outs, Jake Morsch walked and Nick Lonergan (3-for-5, 5 RBIs) homered, second homer of the day, to left field. The 2 run homer was enough as Loggers held on to win 9-8. Ryan Bailey (2-0) picked up the win in relief of starter Sawyer Howard and Nick Lonergan closed out the game to pick up his 6th save of the season.

Nick Lonergan, 4 hits, 2 HRs, 6 RBIs and his 6th save on the day.
The Loggers produced 2 runs on 6 hits to win game two 2-1. Micheal Ringer (5-1) allowed 1 run (no earned runs) on 5 hits with 4 strikeouts. LLCC scored their two runs in the bottom of the 6th on back-to-back hits by Carter Pranger and Colby Griggs and a RBI single through the right side by Jake Morsch. Nick Lonergan then drove in Griggs on a single to right field.
The Loggers will travel to Parkland tomorrow to complete the four game series starting at 1 pm.
