Loggers Split with South Florida State, 5-6 and 5-1

Late story

LLCC softball split with Division I South Florida State College, losing 6-5 in the opener and winning the night cap 5-1.

Jackie Hoffmeier was 3 for 3 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI. Courtney Reeves was 2 for 3 along with Cindy Garces who was also 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Sadie Mosher (0-2) was the losing pitcher. She gave up 6 runs (4 earned) on 8 hits and 6 strikeouts. Megan Ballegeer had a double and teammate Courtney Reeves had a triple. Jackie Hoffmeier had 3 stolen bases.

Hayley Long (1-1) was the winning pitcher in game two. Long gave up 1 run in the first inning as she held SFSC to just 3 hits. Anna Walschleger led the Loggers going 3 for 4, Lindsay Floyd was 2 for 3 and Sadie Mosher was 1 for 4 with a double and 2 RBIs.
