LLCC softball wins two more games at Space Coast Spring Training, defeating Waubonsee 9-8 and Chesepeake 8-1.  The Loggers took an early lead 3-1, but Waubonsee responded with 4 runs to take back the lead 5-3.  LLCC tied the game 5-5 in the 6th inning.  Neither team managed to win the game in regulation play.  The lead exchanged four times in tie-breaker format before the Loggers won in the bottom of the 11th inning.

Hayley Long picked up the win in relief.  Long (3-3) went 6 1/3 innings allowing 1 run on 4 hits and striking out 10 Waubonsee batters.  Cindy Garces (2-for-4, 3 RBIs) had two big hits in the tie-breakers along with a big hit to win the game by Jackie Hoffmeier (2-for-3, 1 RBI).

The tired Loggers came back in game two to defeat Chesapeake 8-1.  Morgan Mansur picked up her second win on the season.  Mansur (2-2) went the distance giving up 5 hits and striking out 7 hitters.

Courtney Reeves (2-for-4, 1 RBI) hit a solo homer in the 3rd inning.  LLCC made no errors in game two but did strand 9 Logger runners on base.

LLCC is now 8-8 with a 7 game win streak.
