LLCC Softball defeated Pasco-Hernando 2-0 and 9-1 today in New Port Richey, Florida. 

The score was scoreless until the top of the 6th inning when LLCC scored two runs on a double by Cindy Garces (1-for-2, 2RBIs) to right center.  With one out, back to back hits by Courtney Reeves and Rachel Hastings set up the stage for scoring the two runs.

Sadie Mosher was the winning pitcher (2-2). Mosher shutout PHCC on 6 hits with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts.  Coach John Marsaglia said, "Sadie hit her locations and the defense made some great plays to support her."

Anna Walschleger, Rachel Hastings and Megan Ballegeer delivered two hits each to the Loggers. 

LLCC scored first in game two, and led 3-0 after four innings of play.  They scored 2 in the 5th and 4 in the 7th inning.  Winning pitcher Hayley Long (2-2) allowed only 1 run on 2 hits.  Long walked 2 batters and struck out three. Jackie Hoffmeier and Sadie Mosher were both 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs.  Rachel Hastings (1-for-2, HR and 2 RBIs) hit her first homer of the year.  LLCC had 11 hits int he 9-1 win.

Loggers are now 6-8 with a 5 game win streak.
