The Loggers defeated both Kiswaukee, and Kankakee to goes 2-0 in LLCC Invite. The Loggers came out quick as the faced Kiswaukee in the tournament opener. LLCC then defeated traditional Region IV power Kankakee in straight sets for its second victory, winning 25-17, 25-15, 25-13 behind the hitting of sophomores Claire Reinthaler and Tiffany Sunderlin. LLCC trailed only once at 4-3 in the second game. "We were focused most of the match, though in game three, we had a timeout where players were wondering what the longest rally in a college match has ever been. I didn't know the answer. Long ago I had an assistant coach ask if those questions bothered me in timeouts and I said no—it means we're loose. We play very well when we're loose and having fun. Now we've got to come out tomorrow against ranked Sauk Valley and East Central. We've got one win against Sauk, but they lost in five against Logan tonight, so I suspect they're going to come out hard tomorrow against us."
