LLCC won both matches at the Parkland Halloween Tournament Saturday against two more Region IV opponents.  First, LLCC swept #13 Sauk Valley behind the hitting of Talesha Scott and Claire Reinthaler which let the Loggers take game one 25-15.  In Game Two, LLCC fell behind 10-4 on a series of unforced errors before roaring back to a 17-16 lead with Sarah Mueller serving and Reinthaler and Scott against contributing key swings.   The third game saw LLCC fall behind 21-18 after holding a lead for the start, before scoring seven straight including a left handed swing by outside hitter Tiffany Sunderlin for her 16th kill of the match.

The second match against Carl Sandburg saw the Loggers lead for the duration beginning with a 9-3 run to start the match, seeing five different players pick up kills as well as two double-blocks.  The key was the defense of freshman Kaley Hennings who snagged four digs in the game as LLCC won 25-11.  Game two saw sophomore Sydney Jarrard dominate at the net with two early blocks and a kill as the Loggers took a 7-1 lead and built the lead steadily, winning 25-13.  The deciding game saw the Loggers take a quick 8-1 lead behind the serving and defense of Michelle Ulrich and blocks by Hennings and Reinthaler.  Carl Sandburg closed the game to 18-15, but the Loggers recovered to sweep with a 25-18 win.
