Lincoln Land Loggers win,the early game on Martin Luther King,Day against Greenville JV, 75-47.
The Loggers jumped out to an 11-1 lead in the first few minutes of the game. Greenville responded and closed the gap within two points (13-15) midway through the first half. After a timeout, the Loggers tightened up their defense and only allowed 18 first half points. Lincoln Land had three turnovers in a row to end the first half, including a botched play that lead to a Greenville score.
The Loggers,,jumped out strong with a 10-0 run before the Panthers scored in the second half.,,LLCC extended their lead to as much as 34 points in the second half., LLCC had a great showing from the starters and the reserves as they,finished with,five guys in double figures. Justin Thomas and Marshall Corbin lead the way with 12 points each. Payton Dugan chipped in 11 along with 10 points from, Derek Smith and Riley Spencer.
The Loggers begin MWAC play next Saturday with a tough game against conference rival Lincoln College on the road.
