The Lady Loggers defeated the Danville Area Community College in a doubleheader at Danville, 10-2 and 10-5. LLCC produced 11 hits in game one to only 4 for DACC. With 1 out, the Loggers produced 7 runs on 5 hits in the 2
nd inning. Logger shortstop Sadie Mosher went 3-for-3 and Kayla Jacobs was 2-for-3 with 5 RBIs including a grand slam homerun and double in the 4
th. Katie Price and Laura Bonds contributed with 2 hits each. Hayley Long had a solid pitching performance to pick up the win. Long gave up 4 hits and struck out 7 Jaguar hitters.
The Loggers scored 10 runs on 16 hits in game two. Three Loggers went 3-for-3; Kayla Jacobs, Rachel Wisner and Lindsay Floyd. Sadie Mosher continued a hot bat going 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs along with Lauren Windisch who was 2-for-5. Starting pitcher Whitley Baker earned the win as she went 4.33 innings. Baker scattered 8 hits and allowed 3 runs. Katie Lange finished relieved Baker going 2.67 innings.
LLCC is now 35-8 and will travel to Lincoln College for a doubleheader starting at 11:30 am.
