Lincoln Land returned home to take on region opponent Rend Lake and the Loggers fell to the Warriors 65-42.

The Loggers raced out to a 13-5 lead, however Rend Lake charged all the way back and went in to the locker room up 37-24. Lincoln Land gave up 12 offensive rebounds and 15 second chance points in the first half alone. The second half did not fare any better for the Loggers as they fell behind as much 26. The Loggers committed 24 turnovers which led to double digit points off turnovers for Rend Lake. Lincoln Land shot only 30% in the game (14-46) with 19% from behind the arc (3-16). Not much went right for the Loggers as they fell 65-42.

Freshmen Eddie Longmeyer and Dino Mehmodovic both scored a team high 8 points. Mehmodovic pulled down a game high 7 rebounds as well.

Rend Lake offense was powered by,freshman Martin Kourtlandt led the Warriors with 20 points and 5 rebounds,and freshman Dedric Byrd,with 10 points.

"This game was a disappointing effort. We made mistakes that beat ourselves tonight. We can't turn the ball over like that and give up that many offensive rebounds and expect to win. The frustrating thing is those are things we can control." Commented Head Coach Chad Jones.

Lincoln Land falls to 3-3 on the season. The Loggers will look to get back to winning Saturday at home against Richard Daley College,at 1 pm.
