Loggers Lose to #3 Ranked ICC, 3-1

LLCC played hard, but couldn't defeat #3 ICC Thursday evening, losing in four (20-25, 26-24, 16-25, 16-25).  LLCC was able to hang with the Cougars for the first three games, including a 26-24 win in the second game after being down by five.  Only the fourth game was lopsided as a series of Logger errors allowed ICC to pull out to a quick 9-2 lead which was almost the total difference as LLCC couldn't pull closer than six the rest of the way.

"I was really pleased with Tiffany Sunderlin's hitting and defense tonight.  It was a great match.  Because we had to pull our setter, we were forced to use a defensive specialist as setter again, but not the same as before (Brook McKinney is out with an injury), so that Andrea Inman had a good night, tallying two blocks and 16 assists.  We're better than we were a month ago, but we have to get better still now if we are looking to advance to nationals—it's a big hurdle because the opponent is going to be #1 Parkland."

Record: 18-17  Region: 4-2
ICC has clinched the Region #1 seed.
NEXT: SUN 10/12 at Millikin vs. Millikin and McKendree
