The Lincoln Land Loggers returned home after a tough road loss to take on the Danville Area Community College Jaguars. The Loggers started off the game hot and raced out to a 17-7 lead. Unfortunately, the Loggers used up most of their shots early and struggled from the field the rest of the game. At the half, Lincoln Land was able to take to the locker room a slim 26-24 lead. Missed shots caught up with the Loggers, who shot only 29% from the field and only 19% from behind the arc in the game.
The Jaguars closed on a strong run with around 7:00 to go; they were able to put the Loggers out of reach. A late charge fell short and Lincoln Land dropped the game 58-49.
"Games like these are tough. You aren't going to win when you shoot the ball like this and we have to work on other ways to score. Our guys came off a tough loss and we had a chance tonight, but the last few minutes of games have hurt us and that was the case again tonight," stated Logger Head Coach Chad Jones.
The bright spot for the Loggers was sophomore Marcus Graham who put in a game high 27 and pulled down a team high 7 rebounds.
Lincoln Land falls to 9-10 on the season and 0-2 in the conference. Saturday, January 25th will be the Loggers next chance as they host rival Lincoln College back in Cass Gymnasium.
