Lincoln Land closed play in the Logger Classic by taking on St. Louis Community College. The Archers, who currently are listed in top 30 in the nation in scoring, came out ready to play. STLCC dominated the game early on racing out to a 10-3 lead and never looked back, led 39-19 at half-time and led by as much as 28 points on the way to winning 86-60.
St. Louis shot 13-22 (60%) from the three point line. Cortez Connor for the Arches put in 6 of 7 and had a game high 24 points.
Coach Chad Jones was impressed with the way STLCC shot especially from the 3-point line. "They came out ready to play and that was evident from the start. They shot the ball really well and it is hard to beat a team when they play that well. It is still disappointing to drop a game in this way."
Marcus Graham led the Loggers with 22 points. Corey Evak and Reed Willenborg added 9 points each. The Loggers shooting has kept them in many games this season, but not the case today as they shot a season low of 11 percent.
The Loggers head to break at 8-7 on the season. The Loggers are off until second semester where they will look to improve their play as they head into conference play.
