Springfield, IL – Logger baseball came back in the losers’ bracket of Region 24 Regional to defeat ICC Cougars 8-7.  The Loggers held off the Cougars by scoring 4 runs in the third and 3 in the fourth innings.  LLCC picked up one more run in the bottom of the ninth to advance to the next round of the tournament.  Ryan Aper led off the inning with a hit, then stole two bases.  With the bases loaded, Jake Ingold walked to pickup the game winning RBI.

Ryan Aper led all hitters going 6-for-6 with two doubles and scoring 3 runs.  Aper was perfect at the plate with doubles in the 3^rd and 4^th innings.  Doubles by Aper and Jarod Pellman were the only extra base hits by the Loggers.  Brandon Weller went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs.

Jordan Pesko picked up the win in relief of Logger starter Brandon Shaw pitching the last three innings.  Pesko is now 3-4 on the year.
