Springfield, IL – LLCC announces 2012 Softball All-Region and All-Conference Award Winners.  Sami Estill, Marissa Jenkins and Kayti Lundin were selected the Region 24 All-Region Team for 2012.  Sophomore Sami Estill led the Loggers in hitting this year with a .448 batting average, 29 stolen bases and 23 RBIs.  Sophomore Marissa Jenkins had a .423 batting average with 24 stolen bases and 42 RBIs.   Shelby Batterton was selected as desiganted hitter.  Batterton hit .373 and she had 32 RBIs on the year. 

Freshman Kayti Lundin led the Logger pitching staff with a record of 16-6 and an ERA of 2.48.  Lundin had 84 strikeouts for the season.  Marissa Jenkins was also selected to the Region 24 All-Tournament Team.

  John Marsaglia, was selected Coach of the Year (MWAC) for the third straight year.
