Bloomington, IL – LLCC Softball splits with Heartland, 11-0 and 8-1. The first game it was all Heartland and Beth Wilson. Four homeruns and 11 hits set Heartland Hawks to an easy win over the Loggers 11-0. Beth Wilson for Heartland Hawks shut down the hot bats from LLCC by giving up only three hits. Brittney Reecer picked up the loss (6-6 on season) in this run rule shortened game.
Logger bats were more productive in the second game. The Loggers had 13 hits to the Hawks 7 hits in the second game. Jen Detmer had three hits including a solo homerun in the 6
th inning. Jori Gleich was 3-for-4 and scored one run. Marissa Jenkins and Sarah Worster each added two hits apiece to help the Loggers to the 8-1 victory. Kayti Lundin picked up her 15
th win on the season. Lundin had seven strikeouts in the second game.
The Loggers are now 31-18 on the year.
