Danville, IL – Lady Loggers Lose Game One and Wins Second by Eight Run Rule. Excellent pitching performance from Sophomore Jaguar pitcher Brooke Jordan defeats the Loggers 6-4 in the opener at Winter Park in Danville. The Lady Loggers scored first getting two runs in the 1st inning. DACC scored three runs in the third to take the lead. The Loggers scored two in the 7
th inning with two runners in scoring position. Lincoln Land comes back in the second game to defeat Danville 11-2. LLCC had 18 hits in the second game including back-to-back homeruns by Marissa Jenkins.
Kayti Lundin took the loss in the first game (11-5). Payge Bowen held the Jaguar hitters to two runs on just 5 hits. Bowen is now 8-3 on the year.
Sami Estill and Shelby Batterton were both 2-for-4 in the first game. In the second game Marissa Jenkins, Makenzie Carter and Kaity Schultz each had 3 hits while teammates Shelby Batterton and Jori Gleich added two apiece.
The Loggers are now 15-3 in MWAC and 26-14 over-all.
