LLCC defeated Danville Area CC tonight 3-0 in the opening match of Region XXIV's post-season, putting an exclamation point on the match by holding DACC to five points in the third game, the lowest total ever given up in a match by LLCC (since the advent of rally-scoring).  LLCC was led by three hitters, Haley Maxwell (So., Windsor), Jordan Ballinger (Fr., Carlinville), and Michaleen Forman (Fr., Danville) who combined for 23 kills. 
 
"I was glad to see Mich have a good couple games since she's from Danville.  She's been on a roll lately with her hitting while Jassamayn Criss rests her foot.  This weekend it will give us more options for our offense when we play Lincoln College."

With her eight kills tonight, Haley Maxwell passed Caitlyn Sullivan (2008-2009) for 2nd on the all-time LLCC list. With 754 for her career, Maxwell is 19 behind career leader Erica King (2004-2005).
