Lincoln Land Community College Athletics

While a student at Lincoln Land Community College, Mike Johnson lettered in basketball and baseball in 1969 and went on to letter in cross country, basketball and baseball in 1970.  After completion of his physical education degree at Southern University at Edwardsville, Mike currently serves as the department head for physical education, driver education and health at PORTA Jr-Sr High School; assistant basketball coach at PORTA; and high school cross country coach at Sacred Heart Griffin.  From 1989 to 1991, Mike coached the LLCC cross country team.  During his tenure with the LLCC team, he coached three individuals who qualified for NJCAA national competition.
