Lincoln Land Community College Athletics

Kate played two seasons of volleyball, basketball, and softball while at Lincoln Land Community College.  She was elected to the All Conference Team for both basketball and softball in 1982.  She was also selected as Female Athlete of the Year in 1982.  Kate completed her bachelor’s degree at Illinois College, and is currently serving as a teacher and coach (coaching both girls’ varsity volleyball and basketball) at Springfield Lutheran High School.  During the 1988-89 season her team was the first Springfield girls basketball team to finish in the “elite eight” and she was selected Coach of the Year.
